The Petrified Forest

The Petrified Forest is a nice early film noir about several people's lives intertwining in a small gas station and diner in the desert. It's an early Bette Davis film, and it's also the one that started Humphrey Bogart's career.

Sita Sings the Blues – Nina Paley – 2008

Sita Sings the Blues is a completely crazy - but funny - telling of the tale of the Ramayana, combined with the jazzy vocals of Annette Hanshaw.

After 1024 films I like to make up the balance, even if only for myself. I'd like to see what things will look like after another 1024, but that will take a while.
