White Heat is a story of betrayal and more betrayal. Cody and his band of thugs are chased by the police for murder and robbing a train.
Short Term 12 is a beautiful, moving indie film that deserves a lot more attention than it has been getting. Please help spread the word!
The Human Condition. Three great films that, when combined, make up the best trilogy ever made. About war, suffering, pacifism and socialism.
Kanal. Retreating from the hell of war into the Warsaw sewers might just be even worse than fighting a hopeless battle above ground.
So Long at the Fair tells about a woman and her brother are visiting the Paris World Fair (1889). One night, the brother disappears and no one seems to remember him at all.
Onibaba: A highly unsettling B&W film about the struggle for survival in the grasslands outside Kyoto during a big war. With the occasional pinch of horror.
Jean de Florette and Manon des Sources tell a heart-wrenching story of pride, greed, revenge, love and destiny. An absolute must-see.
Girl With Hyacinths. What a surprise. Who would have thought that an obscure 1950 Swedish film could be such a thrill to watch.
