Ever in My Heart is a little pre-code talkie that is very good in showcasing films of its kind. Solid acting, a nice story of love and war and only 68 minutes long. Ghee that's swell.
The Petrified Forest is a nice early film noir about several people's lives intertwining in a small gas station and diner in the desert. It's an early Bette Davis film, and it's also the one that started Humphrey Bogart's career.
